Benefits of Membership
ITeachNet is a professional membership organization. Its purpose is to foster collegiality and teacher-empowerment for professional teachers and administrators. They can join by creating a free account on this site. Membership includes the following benefits:
The Register of International Educators: Each professional international educator member is listed.
The Network of International Educators: If you are a teacher or administrator interested in sharing what you know, learning from colleagues with similar interests, or sharing professional information such as résumés or c.v.'s, or job openings; conference or workshop information, article or book news, or . . . you name it, then this is the place for you. Membership in The Network of International Educators © includes blogs for news ideas and reflection, forums for discussion, and portfolios for your lesson archives. Members can also communicate using private messages, contact forms (each member has them), chat -- and it's all supported by an easy-to-use "buddy" list system.
Résumés and Jobs: Members can post résumés or c.v.'s for free. School representatives pay a nominal charge for unlimited posting of jobs over an entire year.
Webzine2: If you were familiar with iteachnet.org in the past, then you knew of the well-received International Education Webzine. Members have the additional privilege of reading and the opportunity to contribute to the new version of the Webzine, Webzine2.
Publishing: Additionally, if you are an international educator with a service to offer or a book to publish, we would like you to become part of the iteachnet.org team: offer your service via our pages; better yet, become an iteachnet.org consultant and/or author. It's an easy way for you to gain control over your own intellectual property and for all concerned to benefit: schools, colleagues and you.
Consultant-pool: Finally, iteachnet.org genuinely depends on its network in addition to supporting its members with informational services. For example, we are presently actively seeking international educators interested in the following collaborative positions with iteachnet.org:
